What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 is the new European Union (EU) regulatory framework in the field. The purpose of the law is to lay down the conditions for the processing of personal data with a view to protecting the rights and freedoms of natural persons, in particular the right to the protection of personal data.
The company “gMendel ApS” under the brand name “gMendel”, based in Fruebjergvej 3, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark, e-mail: email@example.com and tel: +45 61911033, as legally represented, informs that for the purpose of exercising business activities shall process the personal data of its customers in accordance with the applicable national law and the European Regulation 2016/679 with a view to protecting natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”), as in force.
Categories of personal data we collect
The only data we collect is the e-mail address you provide to us when you subscribe to our newsletter.
gMendel follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the website, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, gMendel uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The data we collect are anonymous (Google Analytics). The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our website content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.

How we use your information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- provide, operate, and maintain our website,
- improve, personalize, and expand our website,
- understand and analyse how you use our website,

- communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, for customer service purposes, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website, and for marketing and promotional purposes,
- send you e-mails,
- find and prevent fraud.
Information received through e-mails
If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, e-mail address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
As part of the completion of an order, some of these data are transferred to affiliated companies. Therefore, they are transferred to transport companies for the transportation and delivery of your goods. Transport companies may contact you to ask for clarifications and to inform you of the delivery of your products.
Please note that when you express an interest for our company’s services or products by contacting us for an inquiry or an order, we add your e-mail address to our subscribers list to inform you about our latest news, new products, etc.
When you send us your CV for a job application the data collected is demographic (full name, e-mail, date of birth etc.), education and work experience. We process this data for recruitment purposes only and we do not share it with anyone else. We keep this data until the job placement is filled. When that period is over, we will either delete your data or ask for your consent to keep it in our database for future roles.
Children’s personal data
We do not knowingly process personal data of children under the age of 16, unless we process personal data of children intentionally for our campaigns. If this is the case, we will inform you separately. Parents and legal guardians shall ensure that their children do not transmit any personal data through our services or websites without permission. If personal data has been transmitted by children, please inform us so that we can delete the personal data and any associated account.

Right of access
You have the right to be informed and verify the legitimacy of the processing. Therefore, you have the right to access the data collected and get additional information concerning its processing.
Right of rectification
